Dear Owners:
Keeping in mind owner comfort, safety, and convenience, we believe you will really enjoy our new deck amenities. Currently, the contractor is working to install the electrical lines. The gas lines for the barbeque grills, the firepit and deck heaters have been completed. The gas lines will also help heat the spa and the children’s splash pad, while saving the resort money by eliminating the need for propane tanks. Water lines have been installed for the spa and splash pad. Beautiful blue tile has been installed in the spa. It still requires the final application of Diamondbrite, which is an interior finish.
We regret that the Tiki Hut opening will be delayed while renovations and construction on the south part of the deck are completed. As always owner safety is paramount while construction continues.
As a reminder the resort has also renovated the parking lot to meet current Americans with Disabilities standards and repaired the building facade lighting that faces A1A. Balcony restoration is complete, the deli is open and our new mascot Tomoka is standing guard in front of the building. Plus, don’t forget to visit our new in-house work out center.
We realize there has been owner frustration over the length of time the deck renovations and construction have taken. We are so happy to announce permit and supply issues that hampered us previously have been resolved. All permits have now been granted. All supplies that were backordered have been delivered to our contractor’s yard or are on site. We have met or exceeded state safety standards and requirements.
As you may know we held the election for the open spots on the Board of Directors on January 15, 2022. We would like to welcome back to the Maverick Board our Secretary Denise Mentzer. New to the Board this year are Gretchen Venn and Jerry Cutter. We would like to thank the other candidates for their willingness to serve on the Board. Together, Management staff and your Board of Directors are working to ensure the Maverick becomes a world class resort.
We believe with all our hearts that you will be completely thrilled with the renovated and updated deck and amenities. We look forward to seeing you at the annual meeting next October 22nd, during your owned weeks, or any time you choose to come and stay awhile. We’ll leave the facade lights on for you!
